About Tee Set Golf Society

Tee Set Golf Society is one of Jakarta’s longest-running and most active social golf groups. Founded in 1983, the society has organized weekly golf events for more than four decades and continues to attract golfers from a wide range of nationalities and backgrounds. Tee Set’s inaugural game was held at Sawangan on 4 September 1983, and the society has since played thousands of rounds across golf courses in and around Jakarta, Tangerang, Bogor, and surrounding areas. (Tee Set)

Tee Set follows the Rules of Golf established by The Royal and Ancient Golf Club and provides a relaxed and welcoming environment where golfers can enjoy a round of golf while building friendships and professional networks.

The society is particularly popular among Jakarta’s expatriate community, although membership is open to golfers of all nationalities and skill levels. Weekly participation often includes players from numerous countries, creating a friendly and diverse atmosphere both on and off the course.

Weekly Golf Events

Tee Set organizes golf outings every Sunday at a variety of golf courses throughout the Greater Jakarta area. The schedule includes many of Indonesia’s best-known courses, offering members an opportunity to experience a wide range of golfing challenges and course conditions. (Tee Set)

The society also hosts:

Monthly Medal competitions
Match Play tournaments
Jakarta Interleague competitions
Annual Championship events
Charity golf tournaments
Special social and golf weekends away from Jakarta

These events provide opportunities for both competitive and social golfers to participate throughout the year. (Tee Set)

Membership

Tee Set welcomes players of all abilities, from beginners playing their first competitive round to experienced golfers with low handicaps.

There is no requirement to play every week. Members and guests can join events whenever their schedules permit, making Tee Set an ideal option for expatriates and local golfers with busy lifestyles.

The society places a strong emphasis on sportsmanship, camaraderie, and enjoyment of the game, while maintaining a healthy competitive spirit through its handicap and tournament systems.

Handicaps and Competitions

Handicaps are managed through the MyGolf2U platform, which is widely used by golf societies throughout Indonesia. Regular participants can maintain their handicaps through Tee Set events and by submitting scores from other qualifying rounds.

Weekly competitions typically include awards for achievements such as:

Low Gross
Low Net
First Birdie
Sandy Par
Low Putts
Special event prizes

Fees

In addition to the green fee charged by the host golf course, players contribute a small society levy for each event. These funds help support weekly prizes, annual championships, charity initiatives, and the administration of society activities.

Players should check current event announcements for the latest fees and tournament details.
