Die BRÜCKE” (“the bridge”) is a foundation / Yayasan by German-speaking men and women of various nationalities, registered in Indonesia.
“Die BRÜCKE” was founded in 1979, with the aim to be a bridge between different cultures, to convey knowledge about Indonesia and its people and to strengthen understanding between Germans and Indonesians.
BRÜCKE patrons are also available when newcomers to Jakarta face challenges. “Die BRÜCKE” organizes events and activities to make settling easier and to enable friendships between members. What is more, everyone can make a contribution based on interest and ability during their stay in Indonesia. Most supporters find this experience enriching.
