The South Jakarta Community Choir (SJCC) was founded in 2007. Originally known as the Pattimura Community Choir, the group later changed its name after relocating to a new rehearsal venue.
Since 2012, the choir has been led by Indonesian composer and music director Fero Aldiansya Stefanus.
SJCC is a non-auditioned, international, secular community choir made up of both expatriates and Indonesians. Members come from a wide range of nationalities, professions, and age groups, united by a shared enjoyment of singing.
The choir performs an eclectic repertoire that includes classical music, pop songs, jazz, show tunes, folk music, world music, and well-loved standards. Rehearsals are conducted in English, and new members are welcome regardless of previous singing experience.
