Training

The club generally holds mixed social touch rugby sessions twice each week:

Thursday evenings

  • Usually held at Jakarta Intercultural School (JIS), Cilandak.

Sunday sessions

  • Usually held at Australian Independent School (AIS), Pejaten.

Training venues may occasionally change because of school schedules, tournaments or public holidays, so players should check the club’s social media before attending.

New Players Welcome

One of the strengths of Jakarta Touch Rugby Club is its welcoming atmosphere. Whether you have years of rugby experience or have never played before, you are encouraged to come along and give it a try.

Touch rugby is a non-contact version of rugby that focuses on speed, teamwork, passing and fitness rather than tackling, making it suitable for both men and women of a wide range of ages and fitness levels.

The club regularly attracts expatriates and Indonesians, making it an excellent way to stay active while meeting new people in Jakarta.

Competitions and Social Events

In addition to weekly training, the club participates in local and regional touch rugby competitions throughout the year. In 2026, the club partnered with Jakarta Banteng Rugby Club to organise the inaugural Banteng Touch Cup, demonstrating that the local touch rugby community continues to grow.

Visitors, newcomers and prospective members are encouraged to attend a training session before deciding whether to become regular participants.
