The Living in Indonesia website has always been built on the shared experiences, knowledge, and generosity of the expatriate and Indonesian communities. Over the years, contributions from volunteers have helped make this site one of the most trusted resources for foreigners living in Indonesia.
We welcome your ideas, experiences, and input to help keep the information on this site practical, relevant, and useful for both newcomers and long-term residents throughout Indonesia.
You could assist by:
- Submitting an article, practical tip, or funny story (photos are welcome) about an interesting experience you would like to share with other expatriates living in Indonesia.
- Sharing information about upcoming social, cultural, educational, charity, or sporting events in your community that may be of interest to the international community.
Becoming a contact person for your community group or organization. Because expatriate organizations, clubs, schools, charities, and associations often change leadership, venues, websites, or contact details, our community pages require regular updates. If you notice information that is outdated or incomplete, please let us know.
- Sharing the things you have learned during your stay in Indonesia by contributing practical advice, recommendations, and helpful insights that could benefit other expatriates adjusting to life here.
- Suggesting additional topics, guides, or features that you feel would make this website even more useful for expatriates, international families, students, retirees, and business professionals living in Indonesia.
- We especially appreciate contributions that help newcomers better understand Indonesian culture, daily life, transportation, housing, schools, healthcare, travel, and business etiquette.
Please contact us with your ideas, updates, or article submissions.
