The Intercultural School of Bogor (ISB) is one of Indonesia’s longest-established international schools, having first opened in 1974 to serve the expatriate community in Bogor. Located in the leafy heritage district of Taman Kencana, the school provides a close-knit, student-centred learning environment for children from Early Learning through Middle School (ages 2–15).
ISB places a strong emphasis on developing the whole child through academic excellence, creativity, collaboration and personal growth. The school combines international best practices with inquiry-based learning, encouraging students to become confident communicators, critical thinkers and compassionate global citizens.
The school follows the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework while also meeting Indonesian national education requirements. Students benefit from small class sizes, highly qualified international teachers and a multicultural community representing many different nationalities. Learning extends beyond the classroom through outdoor education, sports, performing arts and community engagement, helping students develop both academically and personally.
Having celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2024, ISB continues to provide families in Bogor with an internationally focused education in a welcoming and supportive environment that values diversity, inclusion and lifelong learning.
