Membership

Membership is open to men and women and youth 15 and older. Open to all nationalities. Current number of members 28 players, including 4 goalies. Cost of annual membership Rp 1,800,000 IDR or 150,000 IDR/mo

Membership entitles a person to play recreational inline hockey without checking, hitting, but minimal contact sometimes allowed. The playing time is scheduled every Monday evening from 630pm-9pm. Open to all skill level.

Activities are held in Indonesian, but no problem with English because some of the players studied abroad and speak English

About the Surabaya Rhinos Inline Hockey Team

Surabaya Rhinos Inline Hockey was established in 2010. This team used to play in a small tennis court at Puri Matahari residence in West Surabaya and then moved to Jagir Gool Futsal as the membership grew. Most of the players are former ice hockey players who were without any ice rink due to closing of Tunjungan Plasa ice rink in 2003. The team recently held a mini National Inline Hockey Tournament in 2011 with teams from Jakarta and Gresik participating. Next year the team is planning to join the Annual Malaysian Inline Hockey Tournament with teams from Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Thailand, India, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Indonesia will be represented by teams from Jakarta and Surabaya.

Our main activity is playing fun Inline Hockey. As we are without a coach, we rely on books or YouTube videos for training, so if there is an expat willing to join in the play or coach, they will be warmly welcomed.

Our practice is held weekly from 6:30pm-9:00pm at Jagir Gool Futsal, Wonokromo. Drop in cost is 50,000 IDR.
