Godspell Trip to Bunaken Manado

About Jakarta Players

The Jakarta Players is a community theatre group that enjoys the pleasures of the theatre. We welcome all nationalities and we currently have over 300 people in our community.

If you would like to join us, there are many ways to get involved, from watching shows as an audience member and helping out backstage on set design, lighting, sound, props, costumes, makeup and ticket sales to acting, directing and producing. You don't need any previous experience in theatre to get started and many people learn new skills by helping out on productions with experienced actors, directors, producers and technical people. There is no pressure to get up and stage and perform You can also volunteer to be part of the crew helping with set design, costumes, make-up or production. Every bit of help is welcome!

Apart from staging three or four plays or musicals a year, we put on occasional social events that have included improvisation evenings, movie quizzes, meals, short plays, skits and musical performances. Coming to any of our events (or auditions!) is a great way to meet some of the community and get started with Jakarta Players.
