Hydration and Vitamin Infusion Therapy

Do you have any of these symptoms of dehydration?

If you have any of these symptoms, check on your daily water intake. If it's less than 10-12 glasses, just increase the intake, and do NOT take medicine for the above symptoms.

Ironically many people who sought medical treatment for one or more of the above symptoms are treated with drugs, more than just fluids and electrolytes replenishment which is what they need more of.

Modern lifestyles have led to more dehydrated people due to LESS WATER INTAKE. Some people just forget to drink water. Some women are more concerned about access to frequent restroom visits during work, not realizing that health hazards can occur due to lack of water. What’s more ironic is that, some people say, “I don’t have time to drink that much water“ during their working hours.

Dehydration (inadequate fluids in the body) can be present in any person who is found to look and behave normal in day to day life.
Many people may think that they can only get dehydrated when they lose fluids due to diarrhea or vomiting and other medical causes like burns.

Our body loses fluids constantly even during routine day today activities like breathing, staying in air-conditioned rooms up to other conditions like strenuous exercises with inadequate intake of fluids, repeated long flights (pilots and flight crews), excessive alcohol intake, all stressful conditions, and high Altitudes.

How to get Hydrated

The best way is to drink 10-12 glasses of water per day; but is everyone doing this?

You have probably heard the phrase "hydration therapy".

In case you are badly dehydrated due to one or more reasons, unable to drink more water, took frequent flights or long travel, it may be better for you to get Hydration Therapy through IV Infusion.

This will insure you stay well-hydrated.

Lack of Nutrition (Nutritional Deficiency)

Do you constantly feel like you have no energy? Are you unusually tired and feel sleepy all the time?

You may be suffering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

A large number of people admitted to hospitals with various illnesses are found to have nutritional, fluid, mineral, and vitamin deficiencies, which in turn just worsen their condition because these are the basic natural substances needed by the body cells, tissues and organs for healing processes and general well-being.

In addition, some individuals do not adequately absorb nutrients from the food which they consume because of different gastrointestinal abnormalities most likely causing inadequate absorption of nutrients.

This sets the stage for an ongoing cycle of vitamins and minerals with electrolytes malabsorption resulting in chronic illness due to their deficiencies. When we eat a “good looking “ apple, do we ever know where it was grown? What manures were used and if any pesticides or chemicals were used or not?

Not knowing that, are we not eating it? The same is true for vegetables we buy in supermarkets or traditional markets. We aren’t sure, yet we still eat them, right?

Poor farming practices may at times contain toxic chemical agents as manure, which result in toxin accumulation in body cells due to possibility of pesticide, chemical manure, etc.  These toxins sit on our cell membrane causing damage ranging from low immunity – to cancer. These toxins (free radicals) also cause chronic inflammatory reaction at cellular levels, resulting in cell damage and depletion of critical nutrients from the food we eat resulting in nutritional deficiencies which cause many “difficult to diagnose “and chronic symptoms in the body.

These can be reduced work performance and productivity, long years of aches and pains, poor memory function as well as premature aging.

Vitamin B12 Deficiency

Vitamin B12 is NOT a placebo! Neuro symptoms show long before the blood levels show that Vitamin B levels are low. You can’t live with low B12 levels.

The main source of Vitamin B12 are animal products, hence vegetarians and vegans as well as people with meat and seafood allergies are always found to have low B12 levels.

Cholesterol warnings – Routine medications for Diabetes (Metformin), Acid Suppressants (Omeprazole ..etc ), birth control pills, and chemotherapy - all have become causes for Low B12.

Normal B12 levels range between 400- 800 pcg/ml.  If the levels fall far below the normal, oral vitamin pills containing low content of B12 component will NOT be effective to correct the significant low levels.

Along with Vitamin B12, we also need high levels of Vitamin C in our cells to prevent immune system dysfunction showing commonly as frequent sore throat, flu, and getting sick often.

These vitamins act together to fight and neutralize those toxins mentioned above, they are called antioxidants.

Patients may come in with very clear-cut symptoms – but doctors may not test them for B12 deficiency.

Incurable neurological deficits can happen in severe B12 deficiency.

Someone could go into depression, dementia, become deaf and blind with peripheral nerve damage resulting in loss of balance and paralysis, all conditions which would have been easily diagnosed and cheap to treat, if Vitamin B12 levels were tested.

Shrinking brain tissues, demyelinating (damaged nerve sheath) making B12 deficiency may mimic Parkinsonism, Alzheimer's or Autism in children.

Fatigue Depression Memory Loss to Heart Disease. What your doctor doesn’t know about Vitamin B12, can hurt you badly. Low B12 can cause progressive brain damage.

The unfortunate thing is, many of us may be suffering from vitamin deficiencies and we have no idea that it is occurring.

Oral vitamin pills contain very little amount of each vitamin, hence that may NOT be able to replenish the deficient vitamin, especially if the deficiency is significant.

People with digestive problems, low stomach acidity as in old age, taking certain medications like Metformin for Diabetes, all acid blockers like Omeprazole, Ranitidine, etc  have been reported to have low B12 due to poor absorption.

Based on the above facts, B12 deficiency and its dangerous effects have been widely addressed among Integrative Medicine practitioners  globally, and the the best way to address these issues is either by Vitamin B12 shots (Intramuscular injections) or by infusion intravenously.

IV Infusion is preferred because it delivers a high concentration of vitamins and minerals straight to the bloodstream. The body can reap their benefits more effectively than popping pills, which aren't entirely absorbed through the gastrointestinal tract.

Vitamin injections and IV therapies are the fastest way to restore vitamins, bypassing the digestive system in which much higher nutrient concentration goes directly into the bloodstream. Adequate levels can be achieved by the intravenous route without any side effects, compared to the bioavailability that is expected when they are given simply by the oral route.

The mission at Universal Care Clinic is to improve how you feel by alleviating the accumulative effects of dehydration and vitamin or mineral deficiencies, and in less than one hour restore you to vitality and wellness.

Going to the doctor, or receiving healthcare at a typical center, can be a very unpleasant experience. We understand that, and therefore we designed our IV cocktail lounge to provide an atmosphere which is serene, peaceful and relaxing.
